In order to achieve its goals, this deputy follows the following missions by designing and creating a coherent organization and appropriate mechanism:

  • Supporting various research projects and developing quantitative and qualitative research in the field of health.
  • Production and dissemination of science through the publication of books, articles and scientific journals
  • Providing scientific resources and up-to-date information
  • Empowerment in the field of research by holding necessary courses and workshops
  • Creating centers, laboratories and research bases in specific fields to expand research
  • Facilitating the use of study opportunities and participation in national and international congresses
  • Attracting and providing necessary credits for research projects and other research matters
  • Monitoring and evaluation of all research affairs of the university, faculty members, researchers, staff and students

Considering the twenty-year vision of the country and the macro-goals and policies of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education and the mission and research policies of the university, the most important strategies of the Research and Technology Vice-Chancellor-Management of research affairs until 2018 can be listed as follows:

S1: Changing the mechanism of approving and implementing research projects in order to modify the existing structure

S2: Increasing the participation of faculty members and indigenous researchers in the production of science and scientific publications

S3: Institutionalizing research according to the nature of medical science research in various fields of basic and clinical sciences

S4: Modification and evolution of scientific information technologies according to needs

S5: Holding regional and national scientific conferences in order to create mobility in the region

S6: Provision of suitable research facilities to conduct basic and applied researches in basic and clinical sciences

S7: Empowering researchers in order to optimally use the available facilities
